SURFACE COMPUTER COMPETITION

Hello Nominees,

Thanks so much to all of you who submitted class projects!  We received a total of 19, representing elementary, middle and high schools, and, they are absolutely awesome!

Voting is now live!  We are asking everyone to vote for one elementary, one middle and one high school - 3 votes total.  

FAQs:
Q:  Who can vote?
A:  Short answer, EVERYONE!  Please spread the word to your entire school community, colleagues, friends, family, your gardner, hair stylist, guy who bags your groceries - everyone!
Q:  Can I vote for myself?
A:  Of course!
Q:  If I didn't submit a project can I still vote.
A:  Absolutely!  You can still make a difference and support the amazing students in LAUSD by reviewing the projects and casting your votes - we need you.
Q:  How do I and my supporters vote?
A:  To vote simply follow the links below.  You will be taken to a page that includes all the projects in video format.  View the projects and vote for one in each category (elementary, middle, and high)
Q:  What if some of my supporters do not have a Facebook account?
A:  Not a problem.  When you visit the links below, you will see a link for those without a Facebook account.  Simply review the projects, then click on the link.  Those votes will be recorded there.  
Q:  How long will the voting window be open?
A:  The window will be open from Jan. 31 through February 3.
Q:  What if I need assistance or have questions?
A:  Send me an email, and I'll work with The PEACE Fund to support you.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Please plan to attend the awards event, Surface computer distribution and Surface PD, provided by a Microsoft representative, on Saturday, February 6 from 8-10 am.  The PEACE Fund CEO and Actor, Adrian Paul will be there along with other invited guests. The nine (9) winning classrooms will be announced on Thursday, February 4. Teachers and principals from winning schools will receive an invite with specific information.
