Meet in library today.
Final chapters of The Stranger talking points are due Friday for class discussion.

Wednesday

Initial draft of research paper must be submitted online to turnitin.com by Monday, December 6.
Meet in library today.

Thursday

Words High School Students Should Know (WHSSSK) 81-90 are introduced in class and due Monday, when students will be tested on the new vocabulary.

Friday
Final chapters of The Stranger talking points are due today for class discussion; testing on the novel continues in class.

Words High School Students Should Know (WHSSSK) 71-80 test is scheduled for today.
Senior project skills and strategies are discussed and research paper thesis statements and outlines are returned so that students may begin initial drafts.
Powerpoint presentations for the senior project are discussed and due dates set.
Students must create an account at turnitin.com so research papers can be uploaded by the December 6-17 deadlines.

Tuesday

The Stranger Chapters Six (Part I) and Chapters One, Two and Three (Part II) talking points are due Friday for class discussion.

Wednesday

Grammar for the Expository Composition textbook continues in class this week.
Laptop computers are assigned to students for research and typing of initial drafts of research paper.

Thursday

Laptop computers are assigned to students for research and typing of initial drafts of research paper.

Friday
The Stranger class discussion and talking points are scheduled in class today.
Homework due after the week of Thanksgiving break will be announced.

Outline and thesis statement for the research paper are due tomorrow.
Rhetoric of the Op-Ed page letter rewrites are due Monday.

Wednesday

Outline, thesis statement and opening paragraph are due today in class.
New vocabulary for the high school student is introduced; test day is set.

Veterans Day is a legal holiday and classes are not in session.
