Work in Adventures in English Literature continues with selections from the King James Version of the Bible and poetry selections from John Donne.
Literary terms are reviewed in class with a test scheduled for Friday, before the weekly class discussion.
The outside reading assignment on Achebe's Things Fall Apart requires students to produce twenty five talking points (five for each chapter) for Chapters Twenty to Twenty-Five. An essay for the novel is scheduled either as classwork or homework.
The screening of Beowulf is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of next week. Students will revisit the excerpt and analysis from the anthology in preparation for the film.
